The dog is alive!

This puzzles me a bit... when I came home from work on Thursday, my sweet dogs were at the door to greet me. I was happy to see them, yet wondered what they were doing in the kitchen. They are gated to stay in the living room and hallway.... that's it.

So... how were they at the kitchen door? And... crap, they probably at all the food in the kitchen plus the garbage.

Well, the fat cat jumps over the gate. (I'm sure it is just to haunt the dogs and tease them a bit.) The fat cat also knocks the gate over... thus allowing the dogs in all other areas of the house.

Amazingly, the house was in-tack, nothing eaten, even the dirty dishes in the sink were still dirty. The dog didn't even bother licking the dishes clean...

You can now add "Amazing Dogs" to the "Amazing Mom" list!

Cross your fingers...

Hunter, the "man of the house" has been limping pretty bad. This is due to the knee replacement surgery he had when he was 11 months old.
(Yes, knee replacement... I'm still paying for that one. I think it has covered the new roof the vet put on his building.)

After the medication thing, or the close to death incident, Hunter and Crickett have returned to their kennel in the basement. I'm thinking this may be the cause of Hunter's limp.
It's a small area, and a cement floor. I do have a soft bed in there, but the dumb dog prefers laying on the floor.

Today, the dogs are staying out. They will be upstairs, previously they were upstairs all day until Hunter ate the meds.

The "cross your fingers" part. If I come home from work today, and that dog ate something...

I don't even know what I will do. We better just say some prayers for him.

Amazing Moms!

Um... I think I can be added to the "Amazing Mom" category. No, I haven't had 4 kids, or 3 boys, but...

I did stand outside of the VanAndel Arena Saturday morning waiting in line to get my daughter Jonas Brother concert tickets.
The temperature was 10 degrees.
We got in line at 6:30am... finally @ 10am we were able to buy tickets.

There's a process to this ticket buying thing. We had to wait for a numbered wristband. Then at 9am one number would randomly be chosen.
Ticket sales would then begin with that number.(Really it didn't matter what time we got in line, as long as we got a wristband.)

We got 4 wristbands.
We spread ourselves out thinking that made a better chance no matter what number was called. Ali was #123. Nick was #269. I was # 270. Jessica was # 308.

Well, that's great.
THEN THE NUMBERED WAS ANNOUNCED...

#300!

That meant we were the eighth person in line to buy tickets... I thought my daughter was going to relive some childhood times, and pee her pants. No, that was me! Kidding.

So... this "Amazing Mom" got FRONT ROW, CENTER STAGE tickets for the Jonas Brothers!

My second nomination... baking cookies.
Remember how I spent so much $ buying candy so Ali could per-sway her peers to vote for her as Secretary?

Well now, I bake.
4 dozen Mud Pies!

Not just cookies. Mud pies... cupcake cookie, pudding, graham cracker crumbles and a gummy worm.
All this for my daughter to sell at school for $.25. As Ali says, "It's part of being in Student Council."

Polish Airports:

Nick just emailed me this photo... just found it on his phone.
Great memories!
