Borrowing Food?

Is that possible? Well, Ali and I stopped at my Mom's house to borrow some food...

As Ali eats her cereal (yup, that's all she wanted) I was hoping to post pictures of Baby Tyler. Yet, I can't find any on my Mom's computer.

Instead I found this:

love Grand Haven weather...

Of course... we could not have a peaceful camping experience in G.H. The day all our companions left, we had a huge storm. This means, it was only Ali and me against the straight winds.

We didn't even know it was coming. We felt the trailer move a bit, about 7pm on Thursday. I went outside to see what's up... The DNR is driving through the campground with his siren lights on, and shouting over through the loud speaker, "NOW IS THE TIME TO SEEK SHELTER! SHELTER NOW!"

Panic mode instantly! we were able to grab the dogs, and run like mad. Running with Crickett is not easy, but we were glad to have her. She pretty much pulls us, so really, we were running like mad.

Into the G.H. Water System Building, along with TONS of other people, and their dogs. We found a seat, after our dogs attached all the others, and freaked out. We didn't have time to think much before then. So, what's we sat down the tears were flowing. Ali didn't "want to do this again, I hate straight winds. Where is Grandpa?" Me, I'm just shaking like crazy, as always, and trying to calm my daughter down.

Finally Nick came and found us in the building, he was at a friend's house in G.H., and pretty much laughed at our hysterical selves. Ali and I kept saying, "We went through it before...!"

30 minutes later we were able to leave the Water Building, as always, it blew over! No big deal! Yea, that's right... No big deal.

Water Spout Clouds

Storm Clouds

Sure enough...it Blew Over!

Blog-Readers...

Okay, I spend time writing this thing, and the curiosity of who is reading is killing me. I'm starting to think that the only readers are my mom and sisters. I hope that not true... I'm pathetic! If so.

I have heard many excuses... first being, "I can't post, it won't let me."

Beach Bums!

Such a cliche' Yet, we are totally beach bums, and loving it. Camping in G.H. is one of our favorite times.
-Our bike rides to town...
-Fortino's
-Great Harvest Bread Company
-Machinac Kite Comp.
-Surf Shop
-Temptations Ice Cream
-The Pier Peddler

We are at my parent's house this evening, as there are 70 mph winds expected to hit G.H. sometime before 10 pm. We were quick to leave, when we saw the weather report. Ali gets so scared at the thought of straight winds... I think, if it hits, it better hit good! (Like total my trailer completely.) I dream of a motorhome!

Nick has come out and stayed with us a couple of nights. It has been fun to "introduce" him to our camping strategies and routines. However, he often says to me, (when I'm in a jam) "When are you just going to let me help you?"
Mmmm... Never! I'm a woman Lip.....! Come on Nick, you should know that.

On Vacation Again...

Yes, we are on vacation again! This time, I am not half way around the world. We are camping in Grand Haven for 2 weeks.

We have a beautiful site, right on the "coast" of Lake Michigan. BIG FUN! as our days are spent with the Butcher's and The Cuncannon's.
"Help, someone stole my purse!" -Inside joke, don't even try to understand it...

Great sunny weather, I hope it continues. Pray for no straight winds. This is what we were left with when some 120 mph straight winds blew through the State Park in 1999. That was loads of fun!

Wow, Tuesday Morning!

We are home safe, and finally getting into the routine of things. The time change has a been a lot harder then I imagined. I seem to be tired ALL the time, but, I try to stay up all day. (No naps, which is very hard for me. I love to nap!) I go to bed at 10 pm, yet here I am, up at 5:30 am.
Antsy pants here... has nothing to do!!

I will get into detail more on the trip soon, once I figure this thing called "real life" out, and am able to manage through the day. I am enjoy all my time with my daughter. What a sweet girl she is. Yes, we have our times, but, being away has made both of us grateful for what we have. She'll never admitt it, (as she still wants to live with her Grandma and Grandpa) yet, we are a sweet team. We are family! I love the way we work as a family, I love being together. Is it crazy to say that my best friends are 13 years old, and 5? years old? (Yes, that's my mother's privacy)

Praise God for all he has blessed me with. My daughter is beautiful and amazing! He definately had a plan, and I finally am realizing that this is the best plan in the world. I always questioned His plan for me, and of course His timing, yet, it is all coming together. I am so blessed!
